Open Access Policy

DEDICA (Journal of Research and Community Service) is committed to promoting the unrestricted dissemination of scientific knowledge by implementing a full open access policy. The journal provides immediate and free access to all published articles to support the exchange of knowledge, encourage academic collaboration, and maximize the impact of research and community service outcomes for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the wider community.

All articles published by DEDICA are freely available online without subscription fees or access barriers. Readers are permitted to access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, cite, and use the published articles for legitimate academic and educational purposes, provided that proper acknowledgment is given to the original authors and the journal as the source of publication.

DEDICA adopts the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License for published articles. Under this license, users are allowed to share, adapt, reproduce, and redistribute published works in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes, as long as appropriate credit is provided to the authors, the article title, the journal, and the original publication source. Any modifications or adaptations of the published work must be clearly indicated.

The implementation of an open access model reflects DEDICA’s commitment to increasing the visibility, accessibility, and impact of scholarly publications while supporting the principles of knowledge sharing and academic collaboration. The journal believes that unrestricted access to research findings and community service outcomes contributes to the advancement of science, innovation, education, and sustainable community development.

Authors retain copyright ownership of their published articles while granting DEDICA the right to publish, distribute, archive, and disseminate the work through the journal’s official platform and other academic dissemination channels. Publication decisions are based solely on academic quality, originality, relevance, and ethical considerations, and are not influenced by the authors’ ability to access or pay publication-related costs.

DEDICA ensures the long-term availability and preservation of published articles through digital archiving practices to maintain the continuity of scholarly records. Through this open access policy, DEDICA aims to provide equitable access to scientific knowledge and strengthen the contribution of research and community engagement to local, national, and international development.
