Abstract
This study focuses on the effectiveness of student management in improving student discipline at SD Negeri 20 Banyuasin III. The main objective of this research is to explore how the strategies and implementation of student management programs conducted by the school contribute to the development of disciplined behavior, particularly among fourth-grade students. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through a field study design. Data were collected using observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of various student activities. The findings reveal that student management, which includes supervision, guidance, and consistent enforcement of rules, plays a significant role in fostering students' awareness of the importance of discipline. Furthermore, structured and educational student activities contribute to shaping students' responsibility and respect for rules. Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and mutual respect serve as the foundation for discipline development. The implications of this study highlight the importance of student management that is not only administrative but also educational and humanistic. This research provides practical insights for primary education management and serves as a reference for other schools in designing effective and sustainable strategies for improving student discipline.
